Podcasting 101 for Teens

Join audio producer Rob Flynn for a podcasting workshop specially focused for teens.

Podcasting is a fun and accessible way to develop creative skills and release content to a worldwide audience. Over four hour-long online workshops, attendees will learn about conducting interviews, recording, editing and more — everything they need to know to turn an initial idea into their very own podcast. The dates are 12, 19 and 26 June and 3 July, starting at 2pm.

Pre-registration is available at EventBrite. An unlisted link to a recording of the event will also be sent on to those who registered though EventBrite.

Recommended for ages 12+.

Scratch Coding

Learn how to design and create your own character in Scratch!

Using the awesome graphics editor of the free online coding platform Scratch, you will learn how to create a character and how to animate them. Work alongside Sabine of Creative Computing Classes Skerries and learn how to shape and reshape, change colours, and group objects until you end up with your very own character.

During this interactive Zoom session, you’ll be able to ask any questions and show off your work in progress to the group. All you need is a computer that’s connected to the internet, ideally with camera and microphone so the others can see you, too. You’ll also need a Scratch account. Please set up your account with a parent/guardian before the course.

See for details. This class is recommended for ages 8+. It is a live event and pre-registration is required.
