St. Maurs summer 2018 activities
With one of the fastest growing juvenile sections in North Dublin, St. Maurs will have plenty on offer over the summer months to keep our younger members busy.
In June, we launched our first ever hurling/camogie mini leagues. Over 150 kids took part over the 3 nights and were supported by parents, mentors and members of the adult hurling and camogie teams.
The first of 3 summer camps (Kellogg’s Cùl Camp) runs from 16th- 20th July and gives kids the opportunity to learn and improve on their football, hurling and camogie skills in a fun environment. The club camps run from 14-17th Aug (hurling/camogie) and the 21st-24th Aug (football). Camps are open to boys and girls between the ages of 4-12. Non-members are also welcome.
Boys hurling continues throughout the summer with the Camaint competition, a series of blitz style matches against other Dublin clubs throughout the month of July, culminating in finals day in Parnell Park in August.
The most fun family event of the year is the annual club campout on 28th July where families take to camping out overnight on the pitches for a day and night of games, music, BBQ, and lots of fun.
Not forgetting our adult section, the Annual Golf Classic will be held on Friday 10th August at Rush Golf Club. This is guaranteed to be a great day out with food, prizes and goodie bags for participants. To enter a team, please contact the office on (01) 8438233.
We finish off the summer in style with the football mini-leagues. This event runs for 3 nights in September and is always a well supported, successful event.
