Fingal Children and Young People’s Services Committee (FCYPSC), in partnership with the Disability Equality Specialist Support Agency (DESSA), will host a free advocacy course this spring for parents of children with a disability living in Fingal.
The eight-session course will take place in the Riasc Centre in Swords from Tuesday, 31 January to Tuesday, 28 March from 10 AM to 12:30 PM.
The DESSA Empowering Parents Programme aims to:
- show you new ways of thinking about your child’s disability, which will help you to see new possibilities and ways of doing things;
- tell you about your child’s rights, and how to achieve them; and
- support you to successfully communicate with your child’s school and the Health Service Executive (HSE)
