Halloween 2022 events in Fingal

Annual Halloween Amnesty for combustible materials

Fingal County Council (FCC)’s annual Halloween Amnesty will be taking place in the Estuary Recycling Centre in Swords from Monday, 17 October to Saturday, 29 October. The recycling centre will be accepting household combustible materials such as beds, sofas, wooden doors, etc., all free of charge.

Due to the large volume of vehicles expected, the last entry to the recycling centre will be no later than one hour before closing time at 7 PM. Closing times will be earlier on the weekend, and FCC will be posting updates on their official website.

Charges will still apply to non-combustible items such as green waste, construction and demolition waste, metals and other hazardous materials.

FCC’s Halloween Amnesty is being provided in an effort to reduce the amount of material which may otherwise be disposed of on bonfires, which not only are bad for the environment but come with real health and safety risks and that can cause damage to public open spaces.
