Rush Christmas Lights Fundraiser reaches half its goal

Rush Christmas Lights Committee’s fundraiser for the town’s Christmas lights has reached half of its €12,000 goal.

The GoFundMe fundraiser has so far received 109 donations from residents and businesses in its first four weeks.

Rush Christmas Lights Committee and Rush Community Council wish to thank all those who have donated so far for their generosity and keeping the town lit up.

This year’s Christmas lights were officially turned on at the Turning on the Tree event held on Saturday, 26 November at Echlin Court. The event was hosted by Steve Cummins and featured performances by St Catherine’s Ukulele Band, Liz Seavers and Adrian Leonard, Harry McBride, East Coast Academy, Keys & Strings and the Millbank Choir.
