Rush Tidy Towns wins EPA Circular Economy Award

Rush Tidy Towns have been announced as the winners of the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA)’s Circular Economy Award.

Part of the national TidyTowns 2021 competition, the award recognises Rush Tidy Towns’ initiatives that have supported a circular economy in and around Rush, such as their projects Zero Waste Rush and Rush Free Stuff.

A circular economy, as defined by the EPA, is one where waste is prevented as much as possible and reused efficiently and where recycling has been maximised.

Rush Community Council wish to congratulate Rush Tidy Towns and their volunteers on their win and continued efforts.
